Using an intersectional lens to understand & address intimate partner violence in Black communities

Dr. Katrina Debnam, Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia (School of Nursing and the School of Education and Human Development) reviews the prevalence of adolescent dating abuse among Black youth, defines and describes intersectionality as a lens for understanding abuse, and discusses the historical, structural, and community drivers of dating abuse in Black communities.
